Match Town Trophy is returning for the 2024 season. The event will be played in Jönköping curling rink between 19th-22nd of September.
Jönköping Curling Club hosted a fantastic event with great ice conditions in 2023 and will provide the same top class ice and service this year. Jönköping is one of the top curling destination in Sweden. Due to low interest in the womens division there will only be a mens division this year.

Competition & registration
Welcome to Sweden's national curling arena in Jönköping, Sweden. We guarantee excellent ices conditions on all our six sheets, a nice view over the lake Vättern and a curling hall with the latest technology.
This year we are hosting 18 men's teams for a total purse of 58 000 SEK.
Don't forget to register your team to the dinner. Dinner for 4 players are included in entry fee. When and where the dinner will be served is not yet decided.
About the event
The tournament is played according to the World Curling Federation rules and applying the five-rock rule as well as the no tick rule.
The event starts Thursday afternoon and finishes with final Sunday afternoon. Practice before the competition will take place at Thursday.

Group Stage
Top 8 overall advance to the quarter finals.
Ranking procedure: 1) Win/loss record, 2) DSC (excluding the least favourable result).
Pre-game practice, LSD and stone color
20 minutes before scheduled starting time there is 5 min practice per team, where the first team on the schedule plays with blue stones and second team with yellow stones.
At the end of each team's practice, two different players throw draw shots - one clockwise and one counter-clockwise.
This LSD is to decide hammer and later used if internal results isn’t enough to decide playoff-teams. The worst LSD is later removed from results.
Practice and LSD will be announced.
Playoffs
Highest ranked team from the group stage decides hammer or color throughout the playoffs.
12 minutes before scheduled starting time there is 5 min practice per team, where the team with the hammer practice first.

Registration
Last day to register: Augusti 18th 2024
Cancellation after Augusti 18th means full entry fee if no other team takes the team's spot.

Travel
Closest airport is Jönköping Airport with very limited flights. We recommend you fly to Landvetter, Gothenburg and take the train or bus to Jonkoping.

Scandic Hotel Elmia is located 3 min walk from the arena.
