Nordic Curling Tour was started in 2022 with the goals of keeping curling players in the sport.
The most common development for players when they dont reach the level of Elite/national team is that they quit since there aren't enough tournaments to play in during the season.
This tour will help clubs and venues to host tournaments on a middle level so that these players can continue playing. Without these players the sport will disappear.
In the Nordic Curling Tour we want all participants regardless of level to feel like they are world champions for a weekend!
The tour title will be won by whichever team has the most tourpoints but the tourmoney is reserved teams outside top 30 on the official world rankings at the start of the season. This idea is to promote and help lower ranked teams to get extra money for playing the tour.
In case teams ends up on the same points in the rankings the team with the highest position in any of the played events will be ranked higher.
Rules
The current rules for each event will be presented in the individual page for the event.
If a situation occurs where these rules is not sufficient the matter will be decided from the acting umpire/organizer using the latest WCF rules. The ruling from the umpire/organizer is final.
Entry fee is to be payed in advanced. In case of a team withdrawing their registration the entry fee will only be reimbursed if the vacant spot from the withdrawn team is filled.

Our hope is that the Nordic Curling Tour in a near future can be played in all of the Nordic countries and that teams and players from all over the world can experience the Nordic countries while playing in great curling events.
